A Practical Approach to SpiritUnless we are raised to remain as fully identified with spirit as we are when we are born, we tend to forget this connection altogether. We become lost in the world of stuff and ego. Even if we are able to maintain, through our family, some form of spiritual connection, we are influenced by our friends, our teachers, movies, TV programming and everything else that is largely ego driven. So how do we get back to experiencing the beauty of that essence? Is there an easy way for us to do this, or at least a way that makes practical sense? One very practical way is to understand what the twelve powers of man are and determine, through meditation or contemplation, how you can express these powers through a spiritual consciousness instead of a personal consciousness. These twelve powers are:
After contemplating on these powers for a period of time, your rate of vibration will change; it will increase and begin to attract to you new sets of circumstances and experiences more in alignment with your spiritual being. It is not difficult to do, nor do you need to spend a great amount of time at this, it is more important that you approach this with the intention to transform, even if you only have 10 minutes a day to dedicate to this. You can also rewrite these powers into affirmations and carry them in your purse, repeating them often throughout the day or you can post sticky notes to your computer with them on as a constant reminder.
