How to Grow Old GracefullyIn participating in the live New Earth web event with Eckhart Tolle and Oprah Winfrey it was asked “How do I accept a face and body that are aging?” I thought this to be a very important question because this site is dedicated to helping you do just that. One thing that Eckhart said that truly struck me was “it is destiny for all of life, all people, and all forms of life to age and die”. And if it is our destiny then how can we serenely accept this fact and get on with the business of expressing ourselves boldly in spite of it? I believe the serene acceptance comes from going within and getting to know your beauty there. You can actually transform all fears and resistance to the truth of whom you are by embracing who you are; and that means that you are much grander, much more magnificent than your physical body. The irony is that when you are in touch with yourself that deeply, you appear younger, lighter and more vibrant physically. What people see is your light, your radiant aura, your real beauty. This is an exercise that will take you into yourself; to get to know the real you:
You will begin to experience a deep level of self-love and inner peace for the beautiful soul that you are within a very short period of time. Try to do this exercise daily for the first few weeks, then as needed after that. You can also repeat the question during the day, with your hand over your heart and taking a few deep breaths, for a quick fix, so to speak. It is my wish for you to experience the beauty and magic and your being and I Lovingly hold the space for you as you do so. |
