How To Speak Your TruthSpeaking your truth would seem simple enough to do but unless you have been given the freedom and opportunity to do so from childhood it can be very challenging. Especially when it calls for you to speak from your heart. This kind of heartfelt expression was denied in most of us as children if only because our parents did not know any better. A famous expression that I like to use for myself is “the heart does not lie” and listening to its wisdom and expressing its truth is essential in becoming fully empowered, heart centered, people. As we learn to speak our truth consistently we begin to experience the beauty of our soul, and the freedom that is a natural result. This kind of freedom is not limited to freedom of expression because ultimately it is our soul’s desire that we experience freedom in the areas of health, wealth, creativity and expression. The truth that we speak will reflect what and the how we might achieve that, through our intuition. Here are some easy ways for you to learn and become comfortable in speaking your truth: 1. Connect with your soul at night: Before going to sleep ask your soul to come to you in your dreams and to show you how who it is and how you can connect with it. This will be uniquely different for everyone. Your soul will also show you your purpose and any lessons you need to learn at this time if you ask. 2. Connect with your soul in the morning: before getting out of bed ask your soul to join with you and then try to feel the connection at the heart chakra. If you don’t feel anything for a few weeks, don’t be disappointed, trust that your soul has made the connection and then focus on the light of your soul. Eventually you feel it’s connection and light and your truth will be able to come through more clearly. 3. Ask your heart questions: during the day make a point to ask your heart a specific question. Take a deep breathe, place your hand over your heart and allow the truth to reveal itself. Journal this daily and you will become more confident in your intuitive capacities. 4. Seek to desire your truth: it is essential to want to speak your truth. With a commitment to speaking your truth at all times, and a crystal clear intention to do this, it is that much easier to become proficient at it. My journey to speaking my truth started when I was faced with abusive behaviors, once again in my life. I realized that if I did not finally get the courage to speak up against it, I would never outgrow the need to attract these behaviors in my life. And I did not want that for myself anymore, nor did I want that for my daughter. As I learned to speak my truth in this area, my ability to do this in all areas of my life developed at the same time. The connection to my soul, to my heart and to the beauty of life has now become so solid I could not imagine not speaking and living in my truth and enjoying the freedoms that come with it. I invite you to join with me on your beautiful & magical journey to your truth! |
